Marisa was on her usual trip to the library to loot the place fortreasures books.
Patchouli seemed to be fed up with Marisa's constant appearances in her domain for some reason. Couldn't she bother somebody else? She had some research to do as well, after all, and that's difficult enough as it is, even without her books missing from their shelves.
Marisa didn't care for Patchouli's interjection. Instead she wanted to prove that there was no need to learn the basics of magic first.
By using the power of the z-layer magic, she drew her speech bubble between Patchouli and herself, hiding behind it to steal Patchouli's books while obscuring her own position.

Marisa, please stop breaking the fourth wall. And while you're at it, please, never use z-layers again. It's just reminding me of the fact that my game library is missing the functionality to use the z-layer. Really frustrating at times. Well, I guess I could program a z-layer myself...
Ehm, anyway, new comic!
I had this idea since a short time. While I usually like drawing my comics in order I thought of them, there are two relevant factors for me to draw a comic earlier than I usually would:
1) The comic is relevant to my current life or a current event, which wouldn't make any sense in the future anymore (or I wouldn't feel like drawing it in the future anymore)
2) The comic's number fits with its content. What? I couldn't resist drawing a comic about pi in comic #3(.)1!
Although, it's more often the first reason rather than the latter. ^^
And hooray for me drawing Patchouli again!
I've only drawn her once so far, and that was in my first Touhou picture ever. And it has not aged well for me. xD;
So I wanted to draw the purple bean sprout again for a wile now, but I never got the chance to do so. She's just not going around enough, and I barely focus on the rest of the SDM, even though all of the EoSD characters are high in my Top 30 fav Touhou chars. Weird.
Well, except for Flandre, but surprisingly enough, she was outside the SDM for once, so yeah, no Patche in that case, either.
My feelings of guilt for not drawing Patche sooner weren't getting smaller by the fact that I like Flandre and Patchouli the same amount (they're both my 4th favorite characters), and I've drawn Flan A LOT. Due to comic relevant reasons, mostly. ^^
Anyway, finally I've drawn some decent Patchouli. And now I want to draw her again.
She's just so fun to draw, I don't know why, either. ^^
But sadly, I don't have any real comic ideas with her...
Well, maybe I can think of something else.
I also want to draw Renko more often. Maybe I can think of a comic with both Patchouli AND Renko. Hm...
